When the wise men come to Jesus we read that they specifically bring three gifts. Whatever their intent for the gifts, the gifts are very likely to have been used in Jesus’ families escape to and provision in Egypt. And so we see from the beginning it was the generous gifts of those who worship Jesus that were used to help fulfill his mission and purpose. When we give we have the privilege of entering into and being a part of God’s great story.
