The resurrection of Jesus changed the world forever. It was such a meaningful moment that Paul dedicated an entire chapter in one of his letters to explaining its implications. Without the resurrection, the good news of Jesus wouldn’t be all that good and it certainly wouldn’t be trustworthy. Without the resurrection, we’d still be stuck in our sins. Without the resurrection, we’d have no hope beyond the grave. Without the resurrection, there’d be no purpose in pressing on to live a godly life. But this week, we praise God that the sadness of Friday leads through the sorrow of Saturday to the celebration of Sunday.
