In Ephesians 5, Paul lays out a simple blue print for marriage. But this “simple” blue print is rooted in a “profound” mystery. Marriage is meant to be a tangible expression of the unity between Christ and the church. Because of this, the health of a marriage can make it easier or more difficult to understand God’s loving heart for His people.
