We all try to impress and show only our best, but we know the truth about ourselves. We sin in secret. Inside we have a tornado of ungodly thoughts and selfish desires. Even our good deeds are often marred by mixed motives.
The truth is that we are undeserving of love. We just don’t meet the conditions necessary to deserve for someone to love us.
What’s the solution?
The gospel is.
The good news is that God loves you unconditionally and unreservedly. That’s why he sent Jesus. Paul writes in Romans 1:7, “May God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ give you grace and peace.” Grace is undeserved love, and that’s exactly what we need. Receiving God’s love gives us peace with him and within. It changes us from the inside out.
The gospel is a message of grace and peace. Instead of being ashamed, we can be confident and passionate.
